Cancelled: Carnival Kayak Run --wristbands go on sale June 1st!

Wristbands for $5.00 will go on sale June 1st and be available in Downtown Allegan at the Flippin' Vintage store- 136 Brady Street. Stop in, buy a wristband and take a look at the fabulous wares available for purchase by a local business owner and her family. Only 50 wristbands will be available, so don't procrastinate!

What is it?

The Lake Allegan Carnival Kayak Run is an inaugural event that will take place on beautiful Lake Allegan Saturday, August 26th. This non-competitive event involves kayakers paddling from one station to another, while also participating in a variety of carnival games.

The Lake Allegan Carnival Kayak Run is an inaugural event that will take place on beautiful Lake Allegan Saturday, August 26th. This non-competitive event involves kayakers paddling from one station to another, while also participating in a variety of carnival games at each station.int launch on Monroe St. or from Luis' Landing at 1961 Grandview Avenue. Kayak drop offs at Luis' Landing can begin as early as 10:00 am, but stations will not be open until noon. Limited parking is available. Once launched, kayakers should proceed to the nearest station to begin the run. Stations will be clearly marked with a black and white "Lake Allegan Association" sign. Snacks and a non-alcoholic beverage will be available by station hosts.

At each station, the kayakers will disembark from their kayaks and participate in a carnival game, such as Plinko©, Nerf© shooting gallery, Maze ball, or a brain teaser puzzle. The games are designed to test the kayakers' skills and add an element of fun to the run. Tickets for the prize drawings will be awarded for each game and collected at the end of the event.

After completing each station, the kayakers climb back into their boats and paddle on to the next station. This event is or kayakers and canoeists of all ages. It's a chance to enjoy the lake, socialize with your neighbors and win prizes too.

After completing the stations, make your way to Luis' Landing for the awarding of prizes and socializing. Tickets will be collected and drawn randomly. Only one prize per participant. Get your picture taken with the official mascot "Sporty the Clown" and try your hand at some other games if you desire.

The Lake Allegan Carnival Kayak Run is a one-of-a-kind event that combines kayaking, carnival games, and beautiful scenery to create an unforgettable experience for all participants. We hope to see you there!
