Come Catch Carp! The Lake Allegan Carp Derby is a contest to see how many ugly carp you can pull out of Lake Allegan.

(A)   The Carp Derby is a tradition on Lake Allegan. We're bringing it back!

(B)   We hate carp.

When?

(A)   Fishing!  7am to 11am

(B)   Awards!  1pm - 3 pm

          --with music featuring The Gun River Band...and Lake Allegan's own Matthew Turcich

Who's putting this on?

       The Allegan Conservation District is working with the ODC Network, Michigan DNR, American Rivers, and the Lake Allegan Association

 

Cost?

       $5.00

 

Where?

(A)   Allegan Dam Parking, Lot 4044, Allegan Dam Road, Allegan for check-in.

(B)   Lake Allegan for catching fish.

(C)   Prizes at the bandshell in downtown Allegan.

 

Prizes?

        Yes! For biggest carp, most carp, & other carp-fishing feats!

You can also decorate your dock to welcome fishers in the Carp Derby.
