By now the news is out that Consumers Energy is planning the final disposition of the Calkins Dam. They claim that a decision is pending, however removal of the Dam is an option. The next Valley Township Board meeting is scheduled for September 13th, 2022 at 7:30pm. The meeting has been moved to the Allegan Township Hall located at 30th and 118th Avenue. The board is expecting residents to attend so they moved to a larger building. FYI
